It's always exciting to hear about urban legends and hauntings that give you a SCARE!

Scream if you dare! There's always a ghost somewhere! BAH HA HA HA HA....

The Legend of 13 Bends

An urban legend that involves a terrifying, SCARY, curvy road. The number of curves in one direction (13 in the beginning) do not equal the number in the opposite direction (12 when you come back).

How could this be you say?

Well it begins with an orphanage.

An orphanage that burned down alongside the road. Some say that the young victims were buried in the cemetery next to the spot of the orphanage. The grounds are haunted... an overwhelming sense of ghost activity.

Sinister spirits? Seeing apparitions? Hearing footsteps and children as you drive through the area? WE WANT TO KNOW!

Boy am I ready to find this spot and explore the possibilities! The hair on the back of my neck is standing up! I will let you guys know! Stay tuned...

Always a ghost somewhere... this is something that I truly believe! As I have seen things personally, it has become quite intriguing and phenomenal to witness entities who are "stuck."

Hotel Conneaut

"The Crown Jewel of Lake Conneaut"

Hotel Conneaut in Conneaut Lake, PA, was once Exposition Hotel, built in 1893. Construction began in 1902 for the rebuilding of Exposition Hotel and they changed the name to Hotel Conneaut. Most of the original building was demolished besides one wing, which still stands today.

In 1943, the hotel was struck by lightning. The fire destroyed more than half of the roof. Damaged parts was demolished and re-built.

In August of 2015, I worked there. I worked in the infamous Hotel Conneaut. Let me tell you, it was fascinating and scary at the same time. Honestly, I think I made myself creeped out because I kept thinking of how haunted the place was.

It has been deemed "haunted" because of the apparition of Bride Elizabeth. During the lightning strike and the fire of 1943, Elizabeth searched the hotel for her newly husband. They were on their honeymoon, having a grand old time. Her husband escaped, thinking that Elizabeth left the building. But Elizabeth was still inside, stuck in the flames.

She died that night.

Husband and wife stayed in Room 321. Elizabeth wanders the hallway of the third floor. She's still dressed in her wedding gown, crying, whispering, looking for her husband.

But she's not the only apparition...

Many stories have floated around about the hotel. Another one in particular, a young boy who haunts the hallways.

I saw him. I saw him with my own eyes.

One night while working, I was told to check on some of the guests because their keys would not work in their doors.

After a long night of helping guests with their broken keys (which I thought to be odd), I stood in the hallway when all of the guests left to go to the Tiki Bar down at the beach. I had just switched on the lights because it was getting dark outside.

As I stood silently in the empty hallway, just staring around, the lights went dim.

My mind started to wander and my heart began to pound.

I thought, "You're scaring yourself Angela. Stop it."

Mind you, when I am in a truly haunted place, that crawls into my mind non-stop and I tend to freak myself out. I told myself to calm down. Nothing was going to happen.

I pulled out my cell phone to take pictures. I don't know why. Well maybe I do know why. Because I wanted to see if I could catch a glimpse of an entity.

And then I saw him.

Down the hallway by the door. So I continued to click the flash of my camera on my phone. Just frantically taking picture after picture.

I realized I was taking too long and went back down the steps to the reception desk. My heart was still racing and I was freaked out. Some of the other employees asked me if I was okay. Looked like I "saw a ghost." They started laughing. But I wasn't.

I said, "As a matter of fact, I just did." One of the bartenders from the Spirit Lounge perked up and asked me what I saw. I pulled out my cell phone and flipped through the pictures. I showed everyone. They couldn't believe it. She wanted me to show our boss. We were all freaked out.

Behind the wall by the emergency exit door, stood a young boy, brown hair, at least 3 maybe 4 years old. Mind you, NO ONE was in their rooms, NO ONE was in the hallway with me, EVERYONE left to check out the area and there were NO KIDS that checked in that night.

He was just standing there. Looking at me.

Then he disappeared.

I will never forget that night as long as I live. I only worked there for 2 months. It was the ONLY time that I actually saw something. I went up to the third floor to meet Bride Elizabeth. The only thing I heard was creeky floors. That doesn't mean she wasn't there though... watching...
