What's new in the Horror/Thriller world? Let's check it out! Anything scary? Gory? Too violent? Too weak? Let's talk about it...
New Release: "MA" Starring Octavia Spencer
Released on May 31, 2019
Psychological Horror film Directed by Tate Taylor and Written by Scotty Landes
"MA" - a story about a lonely woman who befriends a group of teenagers. She lets them party at her house BUT there's something "off" about Ma that the teenagers don't understand... YET!
Time for everyone to chime in with their own opinions about the film.
Have you seen it? Do you want to see it?
I personally love Octavia Spencer and I think she deserves an award.
The film is creepy, vibrant, youthful, but PSYCHOLOGICALLY warped.
It's like following the mind of a person with mental issues.
I feel a sense of understanding toward Ma's character. That's really how I feel about most Horror, Thriller, or Psychological Thriller films. You sometimes gravitate toward the killer's perspective. SOMETHING happened to them to make them act out on these repulsive behaviors.
It doesn't mean that they SHOULD commit acts of violence, but when you look at it from a filmmaker's point of view, movies are made to captivate the audience and make these characters RELATE-ABLE.
They went through something tragic and this triggers their brain into committing such terrorizing acts of violence. A lot of people (not all), like to be scared. They feel (and maybe even think) like certain characters.
In the real world, we wouldn't want to actually act out on our thoughts (except for some sick, twisted individuals), BUT some of us may feel connected or understand why some characters do or think the way they do.
BUT I do not condone acts of violence.
THESE ARE JUST MOVIES AND SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE.
With that being said, the movie looks fantastic, creepy and downright frightening. Something us Horror/Thriller lovers love to see!

This family is sadistic, violent, sick and would kill anyone that crossed their paths. Viewer discretion is advised. These films are not suitable for EVERYONE.
Currently, the plot of this new film has been under wraps. Rob Zombie has not given much detail and is very secretive about it. That's what makes it so enticing. The fans want to know and they want to finally SEE IT!
It's like a waiting game..
This part of the blog will be updated ASAP!

UPDATE!
*SPOILERS*
So their story continued alright... Sid Haig unfortunately had been placed into the hospital from a sickness. At 80 years old, his body can't take much more. For the past year, he has been in the hospital off and on. During the writing process of "3 From Hell," Sid Haig became ill. Rob Zombie re-wrote the film at least three times because of the outcome of Sid's health.
He failed his physical. The insurance company would not allow him to be in the film. He was a liability. They asked Lionsgate to please let him be in it just for a small part.
They agreed as long as he wasn't doing anything strenuous.
And he didn't..
He was only in it for a few minutes. His character, "Captain Spaulding," was on death row and died from lethal injection.
They brought in another brother, actor Richard Brake, as the character of 'Winslow." This character helped Otis and Baby Firefly to escape prison after ten years.
My opinion should not effect anyone's thoughts of seeing it themselves. I just wish Captain Spaulding was in it more, but us fans know the situation and why the script was written the way it was written.
Stay Tuned for more information..
UPDATE (September 23, 2019)
