News from beyond.. around the globe! Any city, any state, any country in the world! Small town news.. let's talk about you too! The thrill is endless!
So I would like to mention the small island of Proveglia Island in Venice Italy.
An estimation of 100,000 lives lost.
A heavy, evil energy... the sound of tortured moans and black mist.
The island was to quarantine people who fell ill to the Black Plague. The island included a hospital, asylum, prison, church, a cavana, a bell tower, housing and administrative buildings for the staff.
To me it sounds spooky and dangerous.. somewhere that I would love to visit. But unfortunately, the Italian Government has restricted the island.
I find it a bit disturbing that patients were "dropped off" here; where they would be left to die. They were then burned in "plague pits."
How awful it must have been to everyone. Can you imagine dying like that? Becoming sick and then no one cares a lick about you and lets you rot? Then BURNS your body like trash!
The place is illegal. It is actually a law that no one is allowed to enter.
BUT
The island was investigated by the team from Ghost Adventures.
Check it out! This is so informative and terrifying!
Next up, a story about Bhangarh Fort, India. The most haunted fort in all of India. A "ghost building" because of a wide spread curse.
The story begins with a well-loved, beautiful princess named Ratnavati who was considered to be the "jewel of Rajasthan." So beautiful with a delightful attitude that she received many marriage proposals.
One man, a tanktrik priest, who was involved with black magic, had fallen in love with her as well. Not surprising with her beauty and the essence of her charm.
But the tanktrik knew that he didn't stand a chance from these other men. So, he cast a spell on a bottle of perfume that was being bought for her from a maid. Unfortunately, Ratnavati found out about this information and threw the bottle. It turned into a boulder and ultimately hit the tanktrik. He was crushed by the heavy weight of the boulder.
Before he died, he cursed Ratnavati, her family and the entire village. The curse was that no one in the village or the fort could be reborn.
A year after this curse, a battle broke out; leading to the death of Ratnavati and the entire army. This left everything in condemned to desolation. Also leaving the area inhabited by ghosts. The villagers claim that if they try to build a roof, it mysteriously collapses.
However, local guards deny ever seeing paranormal activity.
This place would be quite interesting to visit. It would be great to hear extended information about the story. How did Ratnavati find out about the curse in the perfume bottle? Why would she turn him down in the first place? Did she know about his black magic? All unanswered questions.
Still, the place seems frightening enough. Tourists can visit this place. However, it is closed to the public from sunset to sunrise every night. They have tour guides to let visitors know about the backstory and how it became haunted.
Watch this paranormal investigation of the fort!
